Fellow senior Harris continued his strong play in the poor weather conditions as he tied for sixth after rounds of 67-75-76 for a 218 tournament total. Senior Affeldt led the charge in the third round for the Wolverines as he moved up from a tie for 12th to finish with a career-best tie for second after firing rounds of 77-68-72 for a tournament total of 217. Michigan's Affeldt, Illinois' Geoff Lound, Wisconsin's Jon Turcott and Miami's Jeff Ritchey all tied for second (217), three strokes behind Stutzman. Iowa's Matt Stutzman won the individual title with a three-round total of 214 after rounds of 70-70-74. With a break in the weather, the teams went back on the course and the Wolverines pressed on, winning by four strokes.
